Rain Rain Go away We need a Bright Sunny Day....

It seems like it has rained every day for a long time. All though we need the rain sometimes we need to see the bright sun. Which reminds me that when our lives are full of doubts and sins then we need Son Shine. The Light of Jesus should radiate from each of us as we walk in this sin cursed world. Even though I am not a child I love the little song This little light of mine I'm going to let it shine. My prayer is that I shine for Jesus every day, I know some days I hide behind the clouds and some times I,m the rain But amazingly sometimes I can shine for Him. That's when I know His grace is sufficient for me. Today I watched Genesa's kids while she went to the Dr, In less than one week we will be blessed with grandchild number 13. What a blessing each and every one of them are. We will be glad when Reuben James arrives Gen looks like its time to deliver., I know she will be glad to get the little one home. I know I will be glad when its over, but for now we will trust the Lord to keep them both safe, Today I'm very thankful for family. The time we spend together and the fun things we do, Gen insists on going mushroom hunting so next Monday we are all going mushroom hunting in the afternoon, Were hoping for a beautiful day not to hot not to cold,. I'll let you know how it goes, For today Shine for Him.

Little Girls and Flowers

We brought Rachel and Jada home from church with us yesterday. They were so excited about the yellow dandelions, Jada was upset because she had picked one for Rachel and she didn't have it, I told them we use to make dandelion chains so we spent some time among the dandelions doing just that,. Then of course we found some tulips and daffodil's in the front yard yes you guessed it a photo shoot of two darling little girls enjoying the beautiful flowers God provided for our enjoyment, It makes me think of how God clothed the Lilies of the field so were not to worry about these things because He will take care of us. I trust each of my precious grandchildren into His hands,

First sewing lesson with Halee

Today Halee and I went shopping at Walmart and purchased material to make a sun dress. We chose fabric with an elastic top so Halee only had to sew one major seam. She choose a white fabric with black ,and with watermelon's on it she said that with her dark skin white would look good I agreed with her. She also choose black ribbon with white polka dots for the straps. While we were looking we found a pink denim that I liked and Halee thought would make great look alike dresses for mothers day for her and her cousins Gabriela, Rachel, and Jada. For baby Sarah we purchased a little white dress with pink flowers on it. Then she also found a chocolate brown with pink polka dots and purple in it that we made into a top to wear with shorts this summer.
We went home and got out the sewing machine and started sewing Halee did a great job for her first time. She is ready to move on to something even harder. She helped make dresses for her cousins which she will give to them on Saturday when we have Ezekiel and Titus Jack's Birthday Parties. I hope Halee had as much fun as I did spending the day with her. God has certainly blessed us with a precious little girl, who has a goal of growing up and opening up her own designing boutique the Halee Bop. She may well be on her way.

Special Day

Today we took our grandson Micah out to eat he choose Steak and Shake which grandpa thought was just fine. He had an asthma attack on Easter Sunday and did not get to participate in any of the Easter fun the other grand kids did. I felt so sorry for him he just sat or laid on the sofa all afternoon. At one point he was snuggled up to me and said grandma do you think we could do something special since I can't go out and find Easter eggs today, maybe get ice cream or something I told him maybe we could ,so today was a special day with him. While in Fort Wayne we also visited a gentleman from our church at park view main, his wife is Micah's Sunday school teacher so he didn't seem to mind. Then we visited the dollar general store for a couple of little things he picked out all told we had a very good time.

Rainy Day

Deuteronomy 28:12 (New International Version)
12 The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. Its such a dreary rainy day I needed something to make me feel less dreary.
When I think that God is sending the rain to green up everything and to make the flowers bloom it brightens my heart. I am so thankful to God for knowing when we need the rain and when we need the sun. Hopefully tomorrow it will be a bright sunny day. For today we must be thankful for the rain that will help our gardens and the bounty of the Lord to grow in the right season. Today has been a busy day we took my mom swimming to help her strengthen her shoulder and arm I think it is really helping her. Then we took her out to eat since tomorrow is her Birthday we had a really enjoyable time.lHappy birthday to Titus Jack he is 2 today. He is grandchild number 11, they grow up so quickly but they are so much fun.
